    Thinking of joining us?

Choosing your child's first school is one of the hardest decisions that parents can make. There are many questions you will want to ask at this time and you are very welcome to visit to see the school in action. We hope that this website will give an insight into the many aspects of life at the school and will help you to make that decision.

Surrey County Council is the admission authority for this school.  To find up to date information about the school's admission arrangements; details on how to apply, either as part of the normal intake or during the school year; and information on how to appeal, please use this link to the Surrey County Council website – www.surreycc.gov.uk/admissions.

We look forward to welcoming your child into school and to working in partnership with you in your child's education. If you need any further information or wish to make an appointment to visit the school, please, do not hesitate to contact us.

Important Admissions Information: September 2026/2027 Intake.

Parents are reminded to apply for their place at West Byfleet Infant School from 3 November 2025 and that the national closing date for Reception and Junior applications for September 2026 entry is 15 January 2026.

Children on roll in Year 2 must submit an application by 15 January 2026 for transfer to a Junior school next September including West Byfleet Junior School.

We strongly encourage online applications via https://www.eadmissions.org.uk/eAdmissions/app. If parents are unable to apply online, they will need to request a paper application form via the Surrey Schools & Childcare Service (0300 200 1004, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm). The completed paper application form must be received by School Admissions Team, Surrey County Council, PO Box 475, Reigate, RH2 2HP, by 15 January 2026, so parents must allow time for the post to reach them. If parents need to apply on paper, we recommend that they send applications by recorded post.

To find out more information about our admission criteria, please click here.

Applications received after the closing date without good reason will be treated as late and will not be considered until all on time applications have been processed. This may jeopardise the chance of a parent being offered one of their preferred schools for their child.

In April 2026 you will receive communication from Surrey County Council with the outcome of your application, you will need to accept/decline your offer of a school place online.

Please see below for Surrey's Admissions Guidance for children with an Education, Health and Care Plan.
