    Growth Mindset
At our school, we encourage children to develop a growth mindset – the belief that learning happens through effort, practice and trying again.  We celebrate 'marvellous mistakes', which helps children understand that it is okay to make errors and that challenges are a normal and important part of learning. By praising effort, perseverance and problem‑solving rather than just results, we support children to become confident, resilient learners through the use of our 'Learning Zoo' characters, encouraging children to be 'go for it gorillas' and 'persevering parrots', even when something feels tricky. Developing a growth mindset helps children build self‑belief, independence and a positive attitude towards learning that will support them throughout school and beyond.
