At our school, we believe learning how to be a good friend is an important part of growing up. We support children to build positive relationships by teaching them how to share, take turns, listen to others and talk about their feelings. When friendship issues or conflicts arise, we take a calm and supportive approach, helping children to understand what has happened and guiding them to find kind, fair solutions together. Adults model respectful behaviour and use age‑appropriate language to help children develop empathy, resilience and problem‑solving skills, so that every child feels safe, valued and confident in their relationships.
