Our Learning Journey this week....

We have been practicing blending sounds to read words more confidently. You can support at home by encouraging your child to sound out and blend simple words during reading time.

Our focus has been on number bonds to 10. These are pairs of numbers that add up to 10 (e.g., 7 + 3). Playing quick-fire games or using everyday objects to make 10 can help reinforce this skill.

We explored the story “The Giant Jam Sandwich” and designed our own creative vehicles to help the villagers! Children also created survey maps to show where their vehicles would go—lots of imaginative thinking and problem-solving.
