A Fond Farewell to Our Year 1 Children and Families

As we come to the end of another wonderful school year, we would like to say a huge thank you to all of our Year 1 children and their families for their support, enthusiasm and hard work throughout the year.

We are incredibly proud of everything the children have achieved. They have shown resilience, determination and kindness as they have grown in confidence and independence. It has been a pleasure to watch them learn, develop and flourish.

We wish all of our children and families a happy, relaxing summer break and look forward to hearing about their continued successes in Year 2. Good luck, and thank you for being such a special part of our school community. 🌟

A Year 1 Poem

We started Year 1 with nervous smiles,
And travelled together for many miles.
We learnt to read and write each day,
And discovered new things along the way.

We counted numbers, solved problems too,
And found out what our minds could do.
We made new friends and learnt to share,
To listen, be kind and show we care.

We laughed, we played, we tried our best,
And met each challenge, every test.
Now Year 1 is at an end,
But the memories made will always stay, my friend.

So, as you step into Year 2,
Be proud of all you've learnt and do.
Keep dreaming big, keep reaching high,
And let your confidence soar and fly.

We wish all our children and families a happy, restful summer and every success in Year 2.
