Home Learning Books – Starting Spring 2

After the half‑term break, we will be introducing Home Learning Books to support the children’s growing independence and help reinforce key skills at home.

Inside each book, you will find a Home Learning Grid on the first page. Each week, the children will be encouraged to choose one activity from the grid to complete at home.

Although home learning is not compulsory, we strongly encourage children to take part where possible.  There is no expectation for children to do every task or even one every week.These short, fun activities are designed to build confidence, strengthen classroom learning, and give children a chance to share what they know.

How It Will Work

• Wednesday:
  Children bring their Home Learning Books back to school with their chosen activity.
• Wednesday–Friday:
  Teachers will look through the learning and respond with either a comment or a stamp.
• Friday:
  Books are sent home again, so children can choose their next activity for the following week.

We hope this flexible approach will help children take pride in their learning while giving families choice and manageable expectations.
