Our learning journey this week...

As we reach the end of a wonderful half-term, I would like to thank all parents and carers who attended Parents' Evening. These meetings are such an important opportunity to celebrate children's achievements, discuss their next steps in learning, and strengthen the partnership between home and school. Your support plays a vital role in helping your child to thrive, and we greatly appreciate the time you took to meet with us.

The children have had a fantastic half-term and have worked incredibly hard across all areas of the curriculum. They have earned a well-deserved break and should be very proud of all they have achieved. In English, we have completed our character descriptions based on Paper Dolls, using exciting adjectives and carefully chosen vocabulary to bring characters to life. The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the story and developing their writing skills. After half-term, we will begin a new text, Old Bear, which will provide lots of opportunities for storytelling, discussion and creative writing.

In Maths, we have been learning to recognise, name and sort 2D shapes, exploring their properties and identifying them in the world around us. When we return after half-term, we will move on to adding numbers within 10, using practical resources and pictorial representations to build confidence and deepen understanding.

We hope you all have a restful and enjoyable half-term break, and we look forward to welcoming the children back for another exciting term of learning.
